Scientists have ascertained that manuka honey is a super food that retains all of its anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties even when harvested. The caveat is the honey must be cool-processed throughout from hive to shelf. That is, high heat will destroy the good properties mentioned above.

Enjoy manuka the right way

To make a manuka honey drink, do not use hot water. Dissolve the honey in slightly warm water (below 40 degrees Celsius). At this temperature, the enzymes in the manuka honey will not be destroyed. This is the reason why manuka is much more effective in our body as compared to other types of honeys. Our body temperature will not negate the anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-microbial actions. If you have the habit of adding honey in your cup of hot coffee and tea, find out why you should not do so due to the heat-sensitive enzymes in manuka nectar.

General health maintenance

Drink manuka honey twice daily, morning and before bed time. In the morning, your body can get its energy from the drink and be protected by the enzymes. In the night, the manuka drink helps to replenish your body with minerals and aid your body with cellular repairs and rejuvenation.
